Research Scholar, Gender Equality and the Economy
Job Description:
The Levy Economics Institute of Bard College invites applications for a resident research scholar in the Gender Equality and the Economy program. The scholar will collaborate with a team of economists on extending current research in this program area, with an emphasis on gender and macroeconomics, gender and international economics, and gender and poverty. Given the nature of our research agenda, a wide variety of interests can be complementary.
Requirements:
A completed Ph.D. is required, but candidates expecting to receive the degree in the immediate future will also be considered. The successful candidate will have a background in macroeconomics, feminist economics, and other heterodox approaches to economics; solid quantitative skills; and a strong interest in policy issues.

Research Scholar, The Distribution
of Income and Wealth
Job Description:
The Levy Economics Institute of Bard College invites applications for two Research
Scholar positions in the Distribution of Income and Wealth program. The scholars
will collaborate with a team of economists on updating and extending the Levy
Institute Measure of Economic Well-Being (LIMEW). The successful candidates must
be capable of developing analyses of well-being and deprivation using the LIMEW
and its components. Special consideration will be given to candidates with research
interests in issues of international comparisons of living standards and the
measurement of poverty. Given the broad nature of our measure, a wide variety
of research interests can be complementary to the project. More information on

Requirements:
A completed Ph.D. is required, but candidates expecting to receive the degree
in the immediate future will also be considered. We also expect candidates
to possess solid quantitative skills and familiarity with analyzing microdata
using SAS or Stata.
